Internal construction

Reed, key and bellows work

Reeds are adjusted by hand to the pitch and response each instrument requires. Keys are aligned so that valves seat cleanly, and bellows are fitted airtight to the body of each accordion or harmonium.

Each step is checked before the instrument moves to the next station, so faults are caught at the bench rather than after assembly.

Three-stage pipeline

From raw brass to tested sound

Production runs in three stages. Components are machined, assembled, and then tested under acoustic pressure before release.

Machining, assembly and pressure testing

Raw brass and reed components are machined to specification. Assembly follows, with keys, valves and bellows fitted to each family. Finished instruments then pass acoustic pressure testing for air retention, valve response and pitch stability.
